Our specialty is children's portraits. Whether pictures are being taken in your home or at your child's daycare or preschool, with a unique combination of props and the option for outdoor poses, combined with a passion for children, the experience of picture day is different from the traditional indoor backdrop "sit ans smile" concept.
DANCE STUDIOS/SPORTS
MazPix takes photos of all levels of sports teams including toddler level recreational teams, dance studios, junior high, high school, collegiate, & minor league level sports. We primarily take individual and team photos, but are also available for action photography during the event as well.
SENIORS/FAMILIES/ENGAGEMENTS/WEDDINGS
In addition to children's photos, we are also available to do high school seniors, families, newborns, maternity, engagements, and weddings.

Disclaimer regarding CD images:
Due to popularity of individuals desiring electronic copies of photos, I have implemented the CD into my packages. I do however want to stress that you may see a difference between the professional print lab quality you get from MazPix vs Walmart/Walgreens, etc. When you purchase the CD from MazPix, you do receive the release and have the right to print your photos at the lab of your choice, but it is highly recommended to purchase prints larger than 5x7 through a professional lab. If you choose to print elsewhere, please realize the quality of your photos may be diminished when using discount labs. To further explain the thought behind my packages, I added the option of 5, 10, or 15 professional prints, which allows you to still get larger images professionally printed if you so desire.
These are moments of our lives that I have captured along the way. These are just 2010, but I will add others from along the way as well. I am known to be a photo freak and USUALLY have a camera within arms reach even if it's just a point and shoot. You just never know when that Kodak moment will happen, so I'm always prepared. I cherish my photos and look back at them often. Everytime I do I get the same ear to ear grin on my face as if the moment was happening all over again. In these photos you will see my son, my nieces and nephews, my family, my in-laws, etc. and super cute moments that I will hold onto forever.
WHO WE ARE
MazPix is a mobile photography studio owned and operated by Stephanie Mazanowski in Normal, IL servicing the Central Illinois area. I graduated from Illinois State University in May of 2002 with an Accounting degree and spent 8 years as an accountant before having the courage to step away from the field to pursue my true passion. Life is too short to not love what you do.
WHAT WE DO
I have always loved photography and children, so decided to combine the two and now specialize in photography for children, sports, and families. I did not go to school to be a photographer, nor do I claim to know everything there is to know about the topic, but I have spent numerous hours reading books, watching lighting and posing videos, and simply surrounding myself with photography friends who have been willing to show me a few tricks of the trade. Through all of that I have developed the skills necessary to provide you with quality photographs. I bring an enormous level of creativity, passion, and playfulness to every photo shoot and have an eye for that special moment composing it in a meaningful way which translates into one of a kind photos of your loved ones. I realizes that getting a child's pictures taken in a 'sit & smile' format can be a stressful event for both the child and the parents. With the flexibility of a mobile studio, MazPix comes to you, where you and your children are comfortable which allows us to use your own special props and meaningful locations. With MazPix, it's all about the experience and capturing your family's personality.
WHY WE DO IT
Being a parent, I know first hand how quickly time passes by. With the simple tick of a clock, a first smile or first step becomes history. I have been known to be a 'photo freak' or 'camera happy', but that's ok because having a camera within arms reach at all times has allowed me to capture those moments. It's heartwarming and brings a smile to my face every time I go back and look at them. Children change so much with each passing day.
